Cypress Global Partners focuses on developing attractive projects around the globe with a special interest in the development, processing, recycling and repurposing of water. Cypress Global Partners uses its global relationships to identify much needed projects, and then brings the key stakeholders together to successfully develop such projects. Cypress Global Partners uses the broad experience of its principals to provide business development support, client management, project strategies, and project monitoring services.

Mick Cornett

Principal

Mick Cornett is a former TV personality, businessman, author, and four-term Mayor of Oklahoma City from 2004 – 2018. In 2018, he was named to Fortune Magazine’s list of The 50 Greatest Leaders in the World. Cornett is best known for helping to bring an NBA franchise to Oklahoma City and for his leadership to pass the transformational MAPS 3 initiative which has spurred an enormous amount of private investment into the city. Newsweek has called him one of The 5 Most Innovative Mayors in America. The European based World Mayor Organization named Cornett the second-best Mayor in the World. And Governing Magazine proclaimed him a Public Official of the Year. His recently released book The Next American City has received widespread acclaim worldwide. Cornett has delivered multiple Ted Talks and was President of the United States Conference of Mayors in 2016 – 2017.

Jay Jimerson

Principal

Jay Jimerson is a respected executive with 40 years of oil and gas experience including leadership roles as President, EVP, and General Counsel. Mr. Jimerson has been the past President of the Mineral Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association, and he has been the author of several articles and papers relating to energy law issues. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Oklahoma, a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. Jay is a graduate of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is a past Chairman of the Advisory Board for the University of Oklahoma Price Business College Energy Institute. Jimerson was a key member of the University of Oklahoma football team that captured 4 consecutive Big 8 Conference Championships, in addition to winning 3 Orange Bowl Championships in a 4 year period.

Bill Hildenbrand

Principal

Bill Hildenbrand has spent the majority of his career serving in a variety of Executive positions. He was the Founder and Executive Director of College Golf Fellowship, Chief Executive Officer of the USA CHINA Golf Council, Special Envoy to China under President George H.W. Bush. Bill served as President of Joe Carter Enterprises where he led commercial agreements for many professional athletes including 1993 World Series hero Joe Carter as well as 5 additional baseball players enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Hildenbrand earned a degree in Journalism at the University of Oklahoma, and was also a member of the University of Oklahoma Golf Team. In 1982 he was named Golf Coaches Association of America All American, as well as a First Team all BIG 8 Conference selection, while leading the Sooners to the NCAA Championships three consecutive years.

Greg Atkinson

Principal

Greg Atkinson has spent the majority of his 25+ year career in leadership positions. He has spent more than 15 years in the oil and gas industry, most recently as Vice-President of Procurement and Finance for a Canadian oil and gas corporation. Greg has held numerous project team leadership positions on mega-projects and has a rich understanding and respect for all stakeholders having worked for multiple Owners/Operators and EPCs, Greg is a graduate of the University of Oxford and the University of Oklahoma having earned multiple post graduate degrees including a Master’s of Economics and a Master’s of Human Relations. Greg has also earned professional certificates from Harvard Law School. Greg was as a member of the British University Ice Hockey Association Division 1 national champion Oxford Blues. He is active with the Oxford University Ice Hockey Club Alumni.

Ken Surritte

Principal

Ken Surritte is a global thinker and the Founder and President of WATERisLIFE an Oklahoma 501 (c)(3) foundation (WATERisLIFE.com). The United Nations has recognized WATERisLIFE as a highly favored organization. This UN recognition has allowed Ken to develop relationships with government leaders and NGOs from around the world. WATERisLIFE is currently operating in 47 countries spanning all continents except Antarctica. Through their hard work WATERisLIFE provides access to clean drinking water for millions around the world. WATERisLIFE also provides goods and services such as medical pop up hospitals and prosthetics. Ken has delivered two TEDx Talks and has received numerous humanitarian awards for his service. DDB New York partnered with WATERisLIFE on campaigns featuring their work in Africa and Haiti. Aaron Horn

Advisory Board Member

Aaron Horn has spent most of his career serving as an executive in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on water treatment and water management startups and turnarounds. Aaron has been involved with the startup water treatment operations of multiple leaders in the oil and gas water treatment sector, including Hydrozonix, Gradiant, Fountain Quail, and XRI. Prior to joining the private sector, Aaron spent six years serving in the US Army, having been awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his combat leadership in Iraq. Aaron graduated with an engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master's in conflict management from Southern Methodist University. Aaron is a doctoral candidate in the Abilene Christian University leadership development program. Aaron has three children and lives in Frisco, TX.
